mounting depth

1 type r 15 " Subwoofer...... is space between rear of sub and back of box critical in any way..... i heard that putting a slight angle on the rear of the box will give the driver better compression..... i need help on a design for a box sealed or ported/vented...

angling the front of the box will not matter. in theory, this is true, but you need like a gabillion feet between the back of the speaker and the back of the box for the cancelation to occur. in the caraudio world, it doesn't matter. the only ather way the space would be critical is it the sub has a vented pole piece...in this case 3"- 4" would work fine.
