Adire recommends 2 cuft sealed... but honestly, how small do you need the box? You cant fit a 13x13x10 box in your trunk?

Its not hard, there is nothing to learn, just do it, it'll work out better then stuffing a woofer in too small of a box. Or you could be lazy and waste your money.

im in the same boat you are in. basically if you do a build to box you can get deeper subs. i can get 1.8 cft (usable airspace)with room at the sides for amps and still leaving 2" for the sub to move. mines an 89 regular cab bench seat and im leaning towards getting 2 re 12"re's. image dynamics makes some fine subs as well but 1 cft for 2 12's isnt enough .2 tens or 8's would be ok same with 1 12.

i mean 1 cube for each sub, not for the combined total. Yea its a pain inthe *** to get subs to fit in these trucks,i use to have a regular cab 93 and i got em to fit but everyone wasnt comfortable. Do what I'm going to do in my buddies truck....multiple smaller subs. In his we're probably going to go with four 8's (probably RE8's, nice and cheap with a good rep and relatively shallow mounting, and only require .5cuft ported/.217cuft sealed). You'll get the same displacement as a pair of 12's with less mounting headaches.

what i wanna know is where you are getting 2 usable cft from with a pull out box. the box running up to the window and almost all the way across the back?

Audiobahn makes suppoively good spl subs for your exact situation. its called AWP310P and has a depth of 4.5 inches. 1000 rms too.
