Mounting depth for 6.5 in rear doors of Tahoe?

It depends. If you repace it in the factory location, you will not have as much depth to work with. I moved mine, and actually mounted them on the door panel itself (will give you roughly an extra inch or so).

Factory location. These will only see HU power, and get little use. If no one is in the back seat, they stay off...don't care for rear fill.

Thanks for that. I assume that won't include using any of the stock hardware....just going straight to the opening. What is a decent /efficient driver for this purpose these days?
