Yea, thats fine, you cna mount it anywhere as long as its got some breathing room, even in back of the sub box

wait, i thought mounting your amp on top of an enclosure is a no-no? That the vibration of the sub creates, will create the amps internal parts to shake? Which makes it only an alright idea where you can possibly plant your amp behind the enclosure in the back.

I read it somewhere, just forgot where.

Any decent amplifier will be able to withstand the vibrations caused by a driver.

but if it can be avoided, then it would be better. my amps withstand my boat without a problem.

If you have a good box, your sub box should not actually be vibrating i Think? Mine does not vibrate, but everything around it does.
