Mounting amp on box

Basically, two 13X15X16.5 enclosures with 16.5X36.5 sheets on the top and bottom to reduce vibrations. I do this for looks and to conserve space. Assume 3/4 MDF and no internal bracing. How feasable would this be? Would it make more sense to just build an amp rack?

Just throwing around ideas. I've never even *seen* an amp rack before, so I have no idea what to do as far as desiging one.

my pos profile has been mounted to every enclosure my solos have been in for the last year or so without any problems....i dont know which brand in particular had the issue does anyone know?

It isn't a ported enclosure, it is two sealed boxes connected by two pieces of wood.

And yah how you have them mounted is fine.

rubber washers inbetween, ive heard its bad to mount them on the box but ive done it plenty of times without problems..

i heard it's only bad for ventilation purposes (so you'd put little blocks to elevate it at the corners i suppose. otherwise the vibrations wouldn't affect it any more or less than if it wasn't on the box...unless it's a super pos amp but it's gonna vibrate regardless

uhh if its not ported then why would u build the box like that? Ur basically adding like 9 inches to the width. I dont know why u would do that if your concerned about space
