Mountain Biking

oh mountain biking!!! fun stuff.

dont go with mediocre stuff.. if u plan on doing fun dh stuff.

i invested in bout 1.5 on my bike. maybe more.

and stay away from hayes 9 brakes. pieces of crap!

almost killed me.. they use a plug to tighten the hydrolic mech. if u brake to slide around turns, the plug pops out.

fyi build quality of giant isnt anywhere near build quality of specialized.

there was some good info, and i dont know who said handlebar height has anything to do with it but i was lol'ing.

thats a **** nice bike right there. how much travel is the fork?

not sure but i have some questions....after i picked up the bike today...i noticed two things...in low gears...1-15 or so...the chain rubs on the larger of the two "gear changes" by the crank...i dont know what to call it / its proper name.....

that and when im riding i get this odd noise when moving the wheel back and forth...somewhere down by the front fork almost like something vibrating against metal...

any ideas?

should i take it back to the shop (its 2 blocks away) and have em check it out tomorrow

that was me and all i ment by it was that the geometry of MY bike gives it a tall stance, for being a 17" frame its as tall as other 19"-20" bikes at the handlebar, and really it has nothing to do with anything.
