Well I found out the problem.. MR. JLFX himself happened to be in town today and we began the trouble shoot.. We pulled my floor panels u and checked the Subwoofer lead wiring it was fine.. and tried to take the sub out the front of my trunk wall.. THAT was a job!!! we had to pull everything out of the trunk (panels amps, batt) and take the rear deck moulding out.. and unscrew the wall.. and heave it back a few inches to coax the subwoofer from its MDF home.. here is what we found

so the sub is goin back to DD.. I guess the cold weather made th glue joint brittle, 1st sign of movement and it took glue, and tinsel with it.. FTL.. looks like i will be gettin a Platinum cap and new soft parts now..

D1 coils for 2ohm all the time or D1.5 for 3ohm daily and .75for 15sec burp?? I have huge box rise

I say d1 for 2 daily and .5 for burps if the amp will handle it.

Yeah im gettin D1 coils.. 2daily will get retarded.. and i think the amp can pull .5 burp after my ohm rise.. its only a few secs right?!?! lol

i always think its funny watching the ppl at comps and they like hold the tone for like forever and play a song for bass race like put on or somthin that doesnt have a bass line

Cold weather wouldn't have done that. You said it was 40 degrees out there.

That is usually user error and probably been hammering on it for some time.

I have had subs in - degree weather and after letting the car warm up, I could hammer on them.

Yeah i usually play a note for 5-6 sec, restart the track or skip to a higher freq if i am not sure i am playing the right tone

Steve at DD will take a good look at it when it gets there.. Looks like to me (and my DD dealer) that the glue joint just gave away and took the tinsel with it.. I have ~1000 watts on it at 4ohm. .it played FINE the day before and i didnt even have the volume at half when it went out on me.. Just needed more glue I guess.. Either way im gettin D1 coils and Platnum cap i been wantin.. price is the only mystery as of now
