most efficient 1 ohm amp you know of?

Efficiency has always seemed to be a pretty gray area to me.I think most companies that bother actually measuring efficiency are going to specify the best number the amp could achieve.

That's probably not full power, minimum impedance.

It always seemed to be a silly thing to worry about to me.

If you buy a quality amp of a particular class - in most cases it's going to give you reasonable efficiency.

And any other comparable amp - while i would expect efficiency would vary - shouldn't differ by much. To be concerned with a few amps one way or the other isn't going to make or break the system.
^this^^ amp efficiency is measured at 4ohm and usually at 100HZ dropping your amp to 2-1-.5 ohms completely destroys its efficiency, yes there are amps that will draw less amps at 1ohm than some other amps, but you need to remember the less(power) an amp takes in the less(power)it will put out

Zed Minotaur would probably be very solid on average since it runs at a lower rail voltage until you ask it to produce more power, then jumps up.

Class D amps are at optimum efficiency at full power and at higher impedance.

Real world your average efficiency will be nothing like the numbers manufacturers claim, though of course, real world you're likely only seeing 10-15% of it's rated output on average either.

and the difference in efficiency can often be drastic between amps, also mmats does all their efficiency ratings and the lowest rated ohm load... or at least the last i checked they still did.

Probably most answers are a speculation as you need to test this formally. If you're worried about efficiency, get a solid Class D mono amp that does 1200watts with 2ohm load. I can't imagine efficiency being worse than 70% at max output level.
