Morel vs. CDT?

I am looking at the following sets of speakers for my front stage and was wondering if anyone had any feedback one way or the other. I found from using the "search" button that there are a lot of Morel fans here and I was just wondering how they stacked up to CDT?

I am looking at the following sets of speakers:

Morel Tempo 6 $235-$260 range shipped (new)

CDT ES-62iS-010 $300 shipped (new...retail for $950)

Morel Dotec Ovation - Unsure on price

Any information is greatly appreciated. I have 1.9" of speaker depth in my front door, and .83" of speaker height between the door and the panel. The CDT's would fit w/o any spacers, the Morel's would have to be spaced out ( not a big deal). I will be powering them with a Rockford Fosgate "25 to Life" Power 1000.

CDT store on ebay has the CDT's for $399, and I get the 25% discount, so they would be $300. The ES-62iS-010 are CDT's higher end speakers. The Morel Tempo 6 is morel's "entry level" speaker. Everyone is in agreement that the entry level Morel's are better than the high end CDT's? I've got nowhere near me where I can listen to either, so I'm going solely by what I can get from people here who have used them.

LOL. Man if you are considering the Dotechs with the given price tag. No need to think about Tempo 6s'

If you have or care to splurge then yes Dotechs are a gimme.

On a side note, yes, CDTs are noce and worth it for a great budget quality speaker. In comparison to Morels I say NO. Maybe Focal K2, or Hertz HSK line-up would be more equal. My vote still goes Morel.

I hate to hijack this thread but had a quick question about the Morel's. Do the Dotech Ovation 5" speaker fit in 5 1/4 mounting locations? Thanks.
