I just got these tonight and hooked them up first to the h.u. and they sounded good, but not as loud as the clarions did. So then i hooked them up to my amp and it really woke them up. These sound amazing for $40 speakers, but from what i can tell these are underated by quite a bit. I have 125w rms per side on tap and these wanted more than i had. Anyways if you buy these you will not be happy with them of h.u. power only,you will need to amp these.

I'm pretty content with them off of hu power, they are pretty quiet though..

After a day or two of using them they got much louder, but still not as much as they should be. Probably my only complaint about this set.
