I have narrowed it down to the Morel Audio 6.5" DOTECH component system and would like some input from this forum. The price came out to 470.xx shipped and I was wondering in YOUR opinion would this be worth it. Well morels are great, and are going to be hard to beat, but Ive got a suggestion. YOu can see if you can find some pg elite 6.5s, they ususally randomly pop up on ebay, and can probably be had at some other sites. The elites were made by morel, so youll still get that morel sound for a cheaper price. heres the 5.25s, I didnt see the 6.5s, but im sure you could find some easily.

Morel makes a good component set, I doubt you'd be unhappy with them.

I have a set of practically new (around 3 weeks~ish) PG Ti6Comp Elites (Morel, with the high-wattage crossover from PG), absolutely flawless with all original everything, that I would consider an offer on.

They do sound excellent, but I'm leaning in the direction of going all Alpine Type X since I already have all of the gear for that. I won't be un-installing the PG Ti Elites without an offer first, though.

I have Alpine Type X components 6.5" IN the BOX NEVER installed just opened to look at that I might consider as a trade. If you have AIM please PM me your Screen name so we can talk business. I was also thinking of all ALPINE TYPE X and HAD everything ie. m1005, F545, Type X components, Type X 12".. But then I wanted to try some crazy stuff. LOL.

for that price you could get better stuff for sure.

DLS, CDT, alpine (X) (the dotech compare to the type r)...

and I'm shore theirs more options to beat the dotech. it only costs 225 shipped here!

I don't think it will be worth it... and you would have to pay in the Israeli currency )nis) it is 1020nis/4.6=221$ and i have no idea what about Customs and tax

The dotech is a vary common set in Israel, as is the pulse.

Well in second thought I've never compared them to the PG or CDT because we don't have them here.

All I can say is that the alpine type R, RF FNQ, focal, PPI, JL and even pioneer REV

Are considered "better" but maybe it's the "commonness" and the low price that makes people "think" the dotech are not as good.

you should also try and find some dls iridiums ive heard nothing but great things about them. and for 470 i think you could find em pretty easly

Too bad morel sells their drivers and comp sets so over-priced.

But in your case the dotech is certainty not the answer, especial in comparison to DLS iridium or even cheaper sets like the alpine X or cdt HD.

Alright I will take a look at those as well. Thanks for the recommendation. What price range do the iridiums go for? Their website does not list.
