Gatlinburg is a huge tourist trap, not that there is anything wrong with it. If you like gokarts, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is where its at, they have at least 10 tracks, plus like 5 mini golf courses. You should to to the Nascar Speedway in Sevierville, $32 and you can race as much as you want, they have 1/2 scale cars that you can drive, pretty cool. The Aquarium of the Smokies is the nicest one I've been to too. No idea about Dollywood this time of year, but Ober Gatlinburg has skiing I believe, plus they have a small zoo up on the mountain. If you get bored you can go through the park to Cherokee, NC and there is a Harrah's and a bunch of Native American history and shops with a different variety of things than you'd find on this side of the mountains. It has gone downhill though, there are tons of middle easterners selling counterfeit t-shirts.

Oh, you have to eat at Bennett's Barbecue, they have amazing chicken there and it isn't expensive at all.
