Yeah totally real right that was you of course.

Gotta love how it was the second picture to pop up in google image search for "knife wound." I'll bet you're famous.

I know you all will consider me a GIANT DICK, but, I actually sent a relatively generic email to the Austin Police Department as well as my local FBI field office pointing them to this specific thread.

I know finding guns on the street can be "cool" and all, but finding a weapon on the street that could possibly have been used to commit a homicide and not reporting it is a serious injustice and impediment to any investigation trying to bring the said killers of whatever crime that may have been committed to justice.

We are one of only a handful of countries that have the capabilities to regularly trace exact weapons to victims. This is something we should be very proud of.

I normally like to laugh at things and give props to a "found gun" but in this situation, and considering the OP has actually gone to the trouble of wiping the gun down with alcohol and peroxide, I think this is a different situation.

The finding of the gun may be completely innocent and the OP may be a troll. However, if this is not the case, the OP will still have things to worry about and should realize that a find like this could bring him a lot of hassle (AT BEST)

Regardless, what will likely happen is within the next few hours the OP will be visited by some people and have to spend quite a bit of time answering questions.

Hopefully it will only be local police and sheriffs and possibly the FBI monitoring unit. Because, actually, any crime that is reported or registered on the internet changes jurisdictions drastically.
