More Stetsom 10KD Testing

Im aware of its operating voltage, im asking dtbrown if he has any in house results he could post.
I didn't do any testing of the 10k/7k2d on a bank of batteries. I just tested my 7k2d on single NSB G3100 battery that we use for competition. Only test that might be of some interest the 7k2d @ 1ohms on a single NSB G3100 did 4400w at 11.2v with an impedance rise to 3.8ohms.

I posted music power testing of the 2k5d and 4k2d on the link below. Only problem with my testing is people say that the test is bias because I work for them. But people that know me know I test as fair as possible. I can answer just about anything about a 7k2d or 10k.

Whats average DC current draw on the 10kd running at 1ohm with imp rise of ~3ohm final? System voltage is resting 17.5v and assumed 2v max drop to ~15.5v.

Good question. Haven't tested current draw. But can tell you on a bench test 16v and a power supply that is good up to 2000amps the 10k @1ohms non reactive can pull as much as 780 amps.

But that is unrealistic with an impedance rise of 3 ohms. By my estimate no less than 550 and as much as 650amps is about right for 3ohms reactive with holding around 15.5v. Should get anywhere from 7500-8500w. But I do know someone that may know this answer and I'll pm you with an answer after he replies to my email.

Thanks, curently running 2 4kw amps. Im trying to get equal or greater wattage and lower current draw. Any info on this in real life testing you have would be appreciated.

Have you tested your set up for power, impedance rise, and current draw? What electrical you have?

Running 18v DCPowerinc 400amp alt and two Batcap 8400s for electrical. Amps are Memphis 4kw (2) strapped and wired to .5ohm, box rise is 2.8ohm final on 3sec. burp. Current draw in this configuration is 917Amps at lowest voltage of 15.8v.

How much power where you getting? Obviously over 8k. Those amps love 16+v. I'll say 10-11k based on your current draw

Local shop did the O-scope and clamp test, they claimed ~10,900watts.
I guessed 10-11k so not bad. This for competition or daily? The 10k with a 1ohms load rising to 2.8ohms could maybe net you as much as 10k and current consumption might be around 800amps. I do know for competition with an impedance rise to around 1.6ohms a 10k can do 12000w but current pull get's 900amps.

With your impedance rise it's hard to say. To bad you don't live close cuz I'd be more than happy to toss a 10k on your set up.

Started out as daily, but you know how it goes. Probably gonna do some comps this season.

I do live 2 miles away, and can be the unbiased second party to make sure everything is fair.
