17.7v

current draw not measure voltage doesnt drop .5v its a single amp on 18 powermaster 16v batteries with an ohio 260amp alt on them.

Now let think for a second sound digital has new amps out that are small, efficient, and strong as well correct, and the cactus is also from a european company. Is it so impossible that this amp can do lets say minus 20% power to get rms off of peak hold.

so thats around 6500 rms.

Theres a few holes in this.

I can see 8k being possible with what info he shared. Amp being run that low at .63ohms and with voltage drop of only 17.7v and he probably started at almost 19v. But this is for sure a competition power rating no doubt about it. Cactus makes no claims of this amp being able to produce 8k power but it's cool that it's capable under competition circumstances.

To compare I know that our 10k with 18v and with an impedance rise of .9 it'll do about 16k power. But that impedance rise for a 10k is a little low. But the electrical to hold that voltage and that current pull is huge. I just use this as a comparison but I'll never go claiming the 10k is a 16k amp.

This post is of a Stetsom 10k owner showing his power results with his electrical. And with impedance rise and it's holding voltage the 10k is showing it's rated power.

And in no way am I talking down about Cactus. Great product.

Anyway, dt, were you able to get the measurements i requested on the 10k?
He said he'd test it but I have yet to hear anything. It could be a bit. Your set up is very good and the memphis 4k's are no joke on 16v so a single 10k at the impedance rise we where talking about, power would probably we a wash.

yup my bad when its all done ill make a post on the cactus
I like stetsom and dante, because he reminds me of me loud, outspoken, and a feirce competitor that doesnt care what others think.

Or just the sheer fact that you are talking like you are a world champion because of a 161 in a 0-600 class. Honestly I dont care what score you hit, this is a thread on Stetsom 10KD, not one of your comments has been relative to the topic at hand. Make a new thread seriously.

while sanman may look like an ass at some times... (mostly because it seems he's illiterate)

but ill side with him for now, he's a proven competitor

Dumped... stop making a fool out of yourself, do you not know what a cheater amp is?

some of the older organizations rate competition classes by the amp's rated power output at 4 ohms... so if an amp was to put out 600 watts at 4 ohms and 8k at .22 ohms wouldnt that be a major advantage to someone in the 0-600 class?

im pretty sure it was pheonix gold that had an amp rated at like 2 watts rms @ 4 ohms but was stable down to like 0.075 ohms to produce like 1500 watts rms or something along those lines

Ok, thanks for asking.

Cheater amps were very popular back in the day. Most had a low rating 25-75w at a high ohm load. However they could be loaded down to rediculasly low loads to make gobs of power, at least for there day.PG,Aria,RF all had little cheater amps.
