overkill?...you can power either of those adequately for les then you would spend on the hercules unless you already have it for a crazy deal

i vote rl-p becuz i ran 2 12" m3's and they sounded like crap imo but when u port the m3's is where they shine..

Yeah, ported M3s (or any Memphis sub) also seem to sound better to me than sealed, especially regarding output. I've heard a few M3 installs (hard not to living around Memphis) and they sounded pretty good but didn't seem to get a whole lot louder than my PRs or even MClass 12s for that matter (which were also ported AND in my minivan!)....
