More power= better sound from aq hdc312?

Wasn't trying to be a dik bro but u just kept on with something I'm not worried about till later with more power. Anyways I can't remember how the L7s sounded so not sure if your saying its gonna sound more like crap adding more power lol. I'm just trying to see if it's gonna be a 400 dollar worth it difference stepping up the amp.

The more the driver moves the more potential for distortion.

What the guys are talking about is 1200 isn't quite enough to get the driver to its potential so most people clip the amp to drive it hence they sound better with more power.

Hdc3so don't and won't sound good as for as transparency and detail but they are pretty **** loud with the right power.

I've personally used 2kw on the Hdc3s and that's about the power they need to be driven as they where designed to be driven..

Yeah I get what your saying.. When I first got the sub I wasn't necessarily looking for a sub that was great sq but a slight mix. My box is about 2.5net and tuned at 35 and sounds good now but if it has potential still I definitely want to bring that out...
