When I first got my BTL and 20.1... I didn't have 1/0, so I set it up with 4 gauge, haha

it's tough, my PRS880 is installed and I have a JL 12W6v2 sitting here along with Memphis Belle amp

no idea what speakers I'm getting, it all depends on if I have a shop install this stuff

Problem is the mounting depth on my Subaru is less than 2 1/2 inches and I don't have skills to make spacers and such.

In addition I want my trunk to look like this:

Just one sub and one amp though. I have ZERO fabrication skills. My friend MIGHT be able to help me but I have no clue how to make a spare tire well encloure.

I've made a committment to myself to hold out until I have everything though, because I only want to rip my interior apart once to deaden/run wire/install speakers. I also am going to be making a false floor in the trunk - amps will be under plexiglass with crossflow fans on either end. I need my trunk for my hockey shit still.

While this thread is still bumping and on the front page, give me some ideas on tweeter placement in doors. My original idea (I don't want to glass) was to install in the sail panels and wrap them in grill cloth to make a factory look. If you look at both doors, they are different on both sides, so mounting the tweets in door will be kind difficult. Let me know what you guys think.

one question... are you going to run the zx1000 at 4 ohms? cuz kicker doesnt list it as 1ohm stable... and the w6v2s r d4, so you have 1 or 4 ohm as final load impedence

I've read enough people saying it is one ohm stable to trust them. I'll clamp it and see what it really rises to though. If I break it, I can more than likely fix it. I've been fixing amps for awhile now.

Also, what are you guys feeling in terms of a box. Large sealed? That was my original intention. I figured I'd give each about 1.5 cuft per woofer. Should I chamber or not (each woofer theroetically gets its "own" box).

Should I even go sealed, or maybe a ported tuned really low. SQ is main goal - I listen to alot of dark metal with rediculously fast double bass kicks.
