ok...so maybe im retarded...maybe iv got bad ears already...but i threw 1500w...and gains up 3/4 of way,and bass eq at 18 and lpf at 60ish and ssf at 25 and my sub doesnt distort at high volume.....i had dimmage at 4000rpm....its a brand new alt...red top batt under hood....ears..almost...broken.......can i just not hear good or is this sub undestructable for me?

try turning it up to that volume and step away fromt he car and check for distortion. It may be too loud inside for you to be able to hear it.

now today i was right next to the sub and wasnt sure but it was overall playing fine but when i went right next to it it SEEMED like it had some high pitched whining noise..im not 100%sure..it didnt seem so last night.but i can only hear it when right next to the sub..is that distortion?oh and i just setoff my first alarm today at school.BMW...was one floor(7-9ft) above me bout 15ft away diagonally....hehehe....course i had it at 3000rpm in my car...

not that hard, but it depends on the car some alarms aRE MORE SENSITIVE THEN OTHERS, oops caps, my friends sets em' off with 300 rms to 2 audiobahn 10's.

bah car alarms are easy to set off. i drove past a country club and that whole parking lot was cherping and beeping.
