well latly ive been looking for 1/0 wire, i came across this wire, however it has a peice of plastic inside of it?

you can see it in the pics on the bottom, whats the plastic do and what's it there for? also is this good/decent 1/0g wire?

the wire is a little bigger than the rest. without the plastic it would be about the same size.

Monsters old stuff was really MONSTER... I compared it to many other 1/0 and it was bigger/better. It was actualy closer in size to me 2/0 than any of ym other 1/0. Pics are up here if you care to see you can search

I was thinking the same. OP, glad you finally bought some wire cuz you been asking alot about it lately. I dono why you were so worried about the wire. Any decent 1/0 will do.

that wire was temp cuz it was so cheap.. sucked putting it in my car, was a PITA..

it sorta looks like hyperflex only that has another strand of wire in the middle. it could just be the light / angle of the photo.

Fiber optic 1/0 power wire now!? Technology is sweet!!! I bet it charges your battery like 10x faster dood. Just messin it may have something to do with the "skin effect" when electricity travels it moves to the outside of the wire rather than the inside center, maybe it does helps power move more efficiently, who knows

It's supposed to have something to do with minimizing mag fields. In practice I seriously doubt it makes any difference. As long as the cross section of the copper is 1/0 it should work as well as any other quality 1/0 wire.
