RE audio box calculator questions, help!

I am designing a box for a Single 15" RE SRx.

I have decided that ported is more efficient, even if I tune it low ( 28-32hz ) over sealed that will give better output.

When im using the RE box calculator however, I dont know if the calculations take into effect the box's tuning after the port displacement or before? Also I know for sure it doesnt take into account the driver's displacement.

One last thing. My trunk has 16.5" of clearance to put a box in, however my sub is like 15.4" high (outer mounting) so having the MDF that thin on the ends, is it going to be a problem? Thank you for your help in advance,

I'm pretty sure port displacement is included when the calculator sketches it out.

don't worry about "mdf that thin on the ends" it won't be a problem.
