It makes it easier to hook up 2 subs in parallel, if you don't have the correct gauge wiring. Example: you need 8ga wire for your subs, but you have 12ga speaker wire....run each run of 12ga to each sub, and wire each sub into the amp on its own set of terminals. I'm doing the same thing with my MBQ monoblock amp.
