They are refurbs but i have a refurb and it performs better than the store bought one.

I would have to say stay kicker with kicker cause there amps are just as good as their subs, just my opinion though. I have heard that memphis if very good. Me personally though have never used them before and or seen them lol. Friend told me he had them. But I have the Kicker KX1200.1 and I love it, sounds great and sends out great power!

Memphis 16-PRD1000.1 is the way to go. i had 2 in my 93 tbird. i hookd up 1 per kicker L5. sounded amazing!!! battery died all the time, then alternator finally went. they pull serious power, and are strong as ****, so i suggest if u get then, that will put u at about $800, buy 1 or 2 yellow top batteries. put them in your trunk then run 0 gauge back from your car battery. buy a splitter, and run a 4 gauge to each battery. by doing this, your car battery will stay powered, lights will barely dim, and everything will be charged off the alternator!!! let me no wat u think!!!
