Mono amp recommendation

Good morning
I am currently running a RE Audio SXXv2-10D2...just one. I made the mistake of buying an amp which is much more powerful Massive Audio N3. Can some recommend the perfect amp to get the full performance out of this subwoofer? Thanks in advance.

RE Audio SXXv2-10D2 10" SXX-v2 Series Car Subwoofer

This is the amp I made the mistake of purchasing:

Massive Audio N3 Nano Monoblock 2800W Max Amplifier
you didnt make any mistake, that amp is fine for the sub. Keep the signal clean and the sub will handle every last bit that amp can give it easily.

wired to 1 ohm, After box rise you will be around 2 - 2.5 ohms or so only seeing 600 or so actual watts.

Must be the junk Alpine CDE-HD148BT I have as a HD. I am a Alpine fan but there recent HD are garbage. Guess I will go Pioneer or Kenwood HD.
That head unit is fine as well.

You shouldn't be having any issues with either piece of gear you are using, if you are then its install and tuning related. What issues are you running into? Dont automatically assume things, you have no idea whats wrong right now. Pointing fingers at your gear is the last thing you want to do.

Question, are you using a prefab box or a custom ported box? How's your electrical system? How did you set your gains and head unit settings?

I cant turn the gain up...all the settings on the amp are turned down. When I try to turn the volume up the subwoofer starts to clip.

whats your sub level at on the head unit, what are your EQ and bass settings on the head unit at?

Are you using any bass boost on the amp?

My system includes the following:

Precision Power PPI P900.4:

Alpine SPR-50C:

MTX Audio TDX35:

Alpine-HD148BT

Massive audio N3

Prefab box
...

That's likely 90% of your problem. That amp likely won't make the "rated" 2500W if it were hit by lightning (realistically expect half that on a good day), and the RE sub should be a 1000W sub.

Build a proper box and learn to use subsonic filter and that should be a good match.
