VW Touareg TDI. We have a 2011 and it is the nicest ride I have ever had new. It's fit and finish is awesome, has so many features it is crazy. And the diesel gets about 550 miles to a tank on the highway.

definitely test drive a newer tahoe/suburban. They drastically improved the ride quality/handling since the early 2000's, i'm sure your mom will appreciate that a lot. IMO they watered down the "UV" part of "SUV" but they are still very capable vehicles.

Oh yeah I know what to expect from the dome.

I drove a new Tahoe LTZ and that is one nice driving ride. I still like the Jeep though.
