I personal dont care what is written. I wish we could bash the crap out of people on forums. I just hate seeing so many people banned for doing the same exact thing he does.I personally would be banned if I wrote what he writes. And then to come and rub it the face of NOOBS.

I just think it's funny, the people who consider themselves an expert on the subject of moderation... and have never been one.

MUCH LESS... there isn't a fucking manual for this shit.

Who says we have to act differently just because we're a moderator? No one, not the admin... and certainly not anyone else on this adolescent site.

It just cracks me up, this is the internets. This isn't real life, it's not the presidency, it's not a city, and we're not police that are "sworn in to upload the law" with certain laws, regulations, ordinances and such...

Just another thought. Some people come at this like they're reporters on CSPAN or CNN... giving us reviews on how things should be ran around here... and who does a better job.

What forum does your wife moderate? (PM if necessary).

Pretty sure I answered why I am still here. I get laughs from these people, we have some really great members who are VERY funny and I like to see new products that come out.

I don't trust you honestly enough to tell you who she works for. We attack forums all the time for far less. PM doesn't seem like it would matter. I'm not really interested/care if you believe me or not.

This wasn't really about you, you just sorta made it that way (when I spoke up). I have respect for your craft.

You are right, this is the internet. You are supposed to help enforce rules though. Rules that we have to agree on before we can setup accounts (or I think so, been almost 7 years since I signed up). I think the OP went overboard a bit, but I could relate to his confusion. I mean if he signs up.....starts seeing a bunch of crap, reports it and then gets yelled at and told that what he is finding wrong doesn't matter because it was done by someone who is "above the law". What does that tell him? Why not put something like that in the rules.

1a. The following people are above the law, do what they wish, and disputing anything with them will result in a ban.

then you could add a list of those names below it or even give them a special title.

You have to be pretty stupid to get banned too. I have had my bouts of stupidity here and flagrant postings yet haven't been banned once.
