MLA Modules

im still up in the air if ima get one.

But they doo seem too work out great....i just dont know the tech behind it.

Like yeh it bumps voltage, but what does it do to the amps at that voltage....maybe someone can explain it better

well ive got the pro mod, and i really like it. does keep my voltage up. ive talked with owner alot but cant seem to grasp all he gives me when we talk lil more then i can absorb in one sitting.

Voltage booster looks like.
both of sorts, my cousins have them as well and are very happy. I see 15.8 on the hi side and 14.8 on the low.

system full tilt now lower then 12.8, resting after jammin 13.8.

works with pcm of car to create and control voltage as well as alt. will shut alt down due to heat just like a car with out.

ive got 8 batts in my bank that i never have to charge

what were you getting before adding the MLA??? Also you wouldn't happen to have or know how to install a Ford module would you?? Got one and i'm pretty sure i know how to install it but i just want to make sure....

i have one also!

Works really well with an HO alternator..stock is O.K.

its not as good as an external regulator tho..

if you already have an HO alt. with an internal regulator i would buy one. If your in the market for an alt. i would get an external regulator

EDIT i also have the pro mod one 14.6 low and 15.6 hi but only saw 15.3 and with the same alt with an external regulator i got over 20v(16v setup) but when my 12v batteries are in i set it to 15.6 daily

I'm using one...have had it for a few days now. for fords, you DO have to splice and cut the 1 wire before the alt but it literally takes 5 mins and is no big deal to take off later on because they include butt connectors that'll plug into it.

Anyways...I'm using it with my Stock alt, my voltage went up a full 1 volt...worth it to me! Cold I'll sit at about 14.9-15v and after it's hotttt outside sits at 14.4v, compared to 14v at cold and 13.5 before. Can't wait to use it for the mechman I have coming here soon...

The alternator is set to charge at 14.4ish volts. This bumps it up to really top off the charge on the battery. A battery is never really charged at 14.4v, and can usually take another full volt or so to really be topped off. Thats all it does.

So i just hooked mine up and it's not getting any higher than 14.3....i'm gonna go back and re-check all the wiring but i'm pretty sure i hooked it up correct....
