so today I screwed up and blew my DA Hex midrange on the driver side. So I took out the two 5.25" midrange Hex speakers and put in my MB Quart Q series midrange speaker and it is hooked up with the DA Hex tweet and crossover, is this a huge problem???

I went and adjusted the Alpine active crossover and EQ settings and they sound real nice together. I was pretty impressed how good they sound paired up.

Both midranges are 4 ohm woofers if that helps.

Man know I remember how good the Q's are.

There are no electrical problems with it. Nothings going to catch on fire or explode.

Since they are the same impedance, the main sonic problem that could occur is the MBQ mid sounding bad with the passive's xover frequency.

But..since you have it up and running and enjoy the sound....doesn't sound like that's much of an issue.
