$450 for amp, 6.5 front comps, and HU, ideas?

So yeah, for my Gen4 97 Camry, I'm looking to spend $450 for 6.5 front components, a 2-chn amp for that, and a HU. Is the new HU going to work fine with the rear 6x9? I heard there's a chance that the HU might give too much power or something to the rear and blow them up.

Any suggestions on what to get? I'm looking for SQ over SPL mainly.

Hu shouldnt blow your speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Unless ya do something silly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

$450 for speakers/amp/deck I take it? New or used? In town or online?

No need for rear, I'll stick with stock rear 6x9s.

I'm just looking for front 6.5 comps in the door, a HU, and a amp for $450.

Looking to shop online, I prefer new.

Oh, I was under the impression that if I run stock rear 6x9s with a new HU, it might blow it.

Hmm

Orion 4002 $142

CDT CL or EF series components 150

Pioneer DEH-P480MP ~180

~472 bucks + ship

those are all new with warranty. If you can spare a bit more id go with some DLS or Rainbow components

Do all your options tally at $450 like the man is looking for? I'll bet those comps cost him at least half of his budget. That leaves little for a good HU.
Yeah it adds up give or take //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Aura amp: ~$100.00

Comps: ~$230.00 or Partexpress 2-way components ($180

HU: ~$120.00

+________

~$450.00

Maybe I could get the Rainbows now, and a new HU, and just run all my speakers off the HU for now, and save up a bit more money for a 4-chn amp to bridge a sub as well as run both front speakers?

That could work, but you would be really underpowering those or any components. With that kinda a power you probably wont hear the difference between the ones you have now. But building a system is steps is a good way to get what you need and impove on what have when you can. Just research before you buy and try to hear them to see what you like. Good luck with everything man.

Soundlines and one of those Auras sure as hell make a sweet combo for budget SQ! Tough part is getting a decent new deck for $150. Bump that up to $200, then you got a few pretty solid options.
