Mixing sub types?

i have a friend who has one 15" earthquake audio sub (not sure which model) and a 15" hella beats sub (never head of it, sounds like flea market brand to me though lol) and he wants to put both in his car.....is this bad?....doesnt sound like a good idea to me but i dont know for sure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

i figured it was a bad idea....now i just gotta see if i can convince him to ditch those and get a matching pair....or just use one of em.....is earthquake any good?......and have u ever even heard ANYTHING about hella beats?

thats what i wanna have him do but i dunno who i could get to buy a hella beats....or how much he should sell it for.....and i know nothing about earthquake audio......are they good?......the sub is 1500 watts peak.....so im guessing 500-750 rms......how much should he try to get for it?

I would try to flip them both at the same time...Maybe try to get around $150-160 for them combined. I see some earthquakes @ ~ $300 on eBay. Unfortunately, hella beats is not on eBay. With the $150-160, you could get a type R. I don't know the market you are trying to sell in. Some high schoolers with good money will pay pretty good money if you are a good enough salesman. Say the hella beats is an "underground" brand....maybe because their business went under...

i'll see what i can do...its just that he's in such a hurry....i'm trying to get him to get a couple of 12" type R's because i have a ported box that would be perfect them that i'm trying to get rid of.....about 5 cubes tuned to 35 Hz......he doesnt even have an amp yet....i was gonna suggest a pair of '05 12" type R's with a viper 1200.1.....in the box i have.....with ebay and ikesound it'd run him less than $500.....pretty good deal i think
