Ok, well put simply my winter car is ****ing shot, and I have the opportunity to get a hell of a deal or so I think.

Its a '00 Jeep TJ Sport Wrangler with 40,000 miles. It has a 4'' Lift and 33'' tires. Its been owned and driven by two different owners both being women. First woman, I have no idea. She was older, and just putted around in it. Then my girlfriends mom bought it, drove it for a lil while, and let it sit for a year.

Its books for about 9 G's, and my girlfriends parents said if I wanted it bad enough (I am 17) would work out a payment plan for me. I want it, i'm looking now and the aftermarket parts are just **** sexy. Looking at crawler bumpers and light bars.

I need this, first and foremost for winter driving. But as I drive also a street Honda, 4'' off the ground, I need something to get around in the stix where I live. Eastern side of WA state... Its desert out here. Hell, my car bottoms out going up my girlfriends hill, I would use this to go shooting and all that stuff..

Does anyone know of any reason not to buy these particular jeeps. Are there any known problems I need to watch out for? Beecause I cant afford payments on this, and fix the **** thing. Granted its got so low miles I doubt I would have to. I think its kinda a steal. Just wanted to know for sure I guess I just wanted reassurance.

I know that some Jeeps have had rear end troubles, but I want to say those are the Liberties. Might want to find some Jeep forums and ask around.

too bad spidermonkey isn't here to congratulate you on your fine choice.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well my honda is so **** low, It would work better as a plow, I dont have a choice.

I think with a larger front bumper with light mounts, and a tube rear bumper and some fender flares, it would really look bad ***. I would also sell the current tires, like 80% tread, and buy some Dick Creek tires.

You mean Dick Cepek?

The TJ's are nice, but I prefer more room in a DD which is why I went with a Cherokee.

If that doesn't bother you though, then they're great trail rigs and parts are everywhere. Aftermarket support is good as well.

my brother just bought an older jeep, its got 3 JL's in it, it sounds nice, however i would only want a jeep for a weekend getaway type vehicle, not a daily driver by any means... but hey, thats just me, good luck

Yes, my bad. And this would not be a DD. It would be like my weekend warrior, only drive it daily in the winter. I dont do much in the winter, so no need for the room.

This jeep has a bazooka tube in it lol... Thats more or less why I would buy it. Weekend get away in the summer, nice to have just to have. But I desperately need a 4x4 in the winter, and this would be that.

Nope... Its a soft top. I'm cool with that. My car that died was an 88 pathfinder with a broken window and no heater.

From what I read, this has an incredible heater in it.. Major plus. Only downfall I can find in this is a dead spot on the pedal. I wont be taking this on long trips, so no problems at all!
