Mids sealed or ran IB make a diff?

I was wondering if running my mids sealed in a pod in the door will make a diff in SQ vs just running them mounted in the door. Doors are mostly sealed with deadener and if i run them IB i have some baffles i made which have a cutout in the bottom of them. I had them sealed in .33 cubes before and they sounded great but had literally no midbass at all to them. So im thinking to run them IB since thats most likely what they were intended to be ran in. The mids im speaking of will be PG RSDs or Type R comps.
