In my quest to understand how things work in this car audio world, I have a question(s) I'd like to ask.

Do all mids have a different sound? I dont mean how hard the bass hits but how it SOUND?

If you pair a ID mid with a morel tweet will it work together or would the SOUND of the music seems odd?

Now lets say you have a crossover from focal, a mid from ID and a tweeter from morel, will the SOUND seems out of place? does the crossover plays any role in how the sound is reproduced?

lot of questions here

you can run whatever mids/tweets/crossovers you want to but they will not sound the way they were meant to sound ( in theory)

your crossover will limit certain frequencies to the mids and tweet. Some tweets can play lower than others, thus you may be missing out on some of your lower tweet by getting a crossover that wasnt meant for those tweets

mids are not supposda play the really low frequencies, some are made to but most are not.

I cross mine over at 80hz, it all a matter of preferance and settings

If you're planning to use different branded tweeters, mids and crossovers, I would simply just go active. Crossovers have the greatest influence on how the components will sound and if they don't highlight the speakers well, it won't sound good.
