MidRange/MidBass 6.5s that like 250-350 watts @ 4 ohms???

I'd give it a little bit and do some digging into those brands I listed.

Yeah, i've been looking into them. I like peerless so far...

Squeak - you have experience with BA... will the RC620s be ok with 300 watts? If not how much would they REALLY do well with?

I honestly don't know a whole bunch about that particular driver. I know more about the Pro and Z6 series than I do the Rally's.

So I'll tell you what I know.

They can take a ton of power though I've only been able to give mine 150 or so.

They don't go too low, think 75hz-90hz as a x-over point.

They kick *** in the midrange, they make snare drums sound good and tight.

The Manual says 275max, they might take 300 but I dunno if I'd do that for long periods of time.

However... it talks about them in an enclosure, can I run them IB in my door?

Also, it says their impedance rating is 8 ohms.... could i run them at 4 ohms from an amp?

Nope, an 8ohm voice coil is an 8ohm voice coil. You would need two per side and wire them to 4 that way...

You could also hook lef tand right to one channel and get it to a 4 ohm...

course, you'll also get mono sounds..way kewl~

The more i look at these different drivers you mentioned squeak, the more i find that they mostly have a nominal impedance of 8 ohms...

How do you wire a pair of those into 4? or 2 for that matter? Or anything that can run on the average 2 channel amp?

Alright, from educating myself via http://www.bcae1.com ... i found that if i wire 8 ohm speakers in a parallel configuration, the load is reduced to 4 ohms??? I think???

However, does a parallel configuration give you a mono signal to the speakers ?

FYI 8ohm speakers tend to be for home or Pro Audio use....

4ohms, 8 ohms.. it's just 3dB diff. Hard to tell by ear.
