I use a nice 4 channel Alpine amp for my mids, but I'd like to hook up some tweeters on a separate amp.

The alpine doesn't have pre-amp outputs to share the signal with the other amp, what do you guys do in that situation?

I'm concerned that using a splitter will sacrifice audio quality.

Also the crappy tweeter amp does have outputs, so I've been running two channels into the alpine, and 2 into the crappy amp and then the other 2 from the preouts on the crappy amp to the alpine.

Using a splitter will not degrade the signal either.
Alright, thanks.

So with that in mind I'm guessing that the talk on getting a good brand of RCA's is for better shielding and insulation rather than sound quality?

Shielding, flexibility, build quality, etc. Yep.

The difference in 96 to 98 db is going to net you about an 22% difference in output, all things considered equal. When it comes to 325 per channel...

That was something I was going to try also to remove some of the gasjet from the front

Definitely hard to beat, but they're deep. Didn't know these were still floating around.
