Metal Speaker Grille?

Does anyone know where I can buy metal speaker grill that just comes in a square and I can cut my own sizes? All I can find is fabric.

the mesh grills arent good at all becuase they usually get in the way of the sub moving in and out, get something like this

It is for a mid in the kick so im looking for something to protect my speaker from clumsy passengers. I already made a speaker baffle that will hold the gril about a half inch away from the speaker. I saw fabric manufacturers advertising "Completely Invisible to sound waves" so, I was wondering if the metal will block or screw up the sound in any way?
