Ok so i used to have 2 rockford fosgate stage 2 12s.
now i have 2 polk audio 10s.
the 10s play lots of beats/bass where the 12s did not play but the main ones, i sometimes questioned myself why isnt it hitting right there. the 10s hit every single note, beat, bass, whatever u call it.
Now im not sure if u consider that sound quality, or just tight bass?
Anyways i talked to a crutchfield person on their chat thing and told them this story and told them i love the polks but they dont get loud enough for me. he said 10s just have a tight bass which is why it plays all those fast repetitive beats and 12s just cant because they are hitting harder and playing lower.
so idk if thats true or not, but i have an AD1200D and i need your help on what i should do. im sending the 10" polks 870w@2ohms and i used to send the rockford fosgates 400w@4ohms and they were still louder.
i was looking at getting IDQ12v2 so they would be 12s and pound, but since ID is supposedly one of the top for sound quality i figured it should play fast tight bass.
am i right? is crutchfield guy an idiot? is there a better choice for my money? im fine with 10s just really want them louder than the polks. i will be getting a new box and i have plenty of room. i want to keep it $150 per sub or less which is what the IDQs are
