Mercedes ml320 head unit install

I need help with a mercedes ML320 head unit instillation. The local car audio shop informed me that it is a direct wire install so any advice on which wire goes where would be helpful. Also i am doing it on a friends car and havent looked at it yet, so any advance info on how to remove the stock head unit would be useful. I would also appreciate any other advice. By "direct wire install" i assume they mean to hard wire it into the factory harness w/o using a aftermarket wiring harness (probably non available). I would look in a repair manual or mercedes specific car forum for wiring color codes. It should be just match and connect. The mercedes forum would also have steps in removing the HU. Hopefully this helps
