memphis speakers owned by jbl amp

not surprised this happened since the speajkers were rated 50 rms and jbl is 104 rms but i had the volume only up like 22 out of 35 and both the rear coaxils blew lol thought they would of lasted a little longer...

so anyway now that i need new rear speakers.... anyone got any suggestions... sucks cause they're 5x7 and i wanna get a new car soon so i dont wanna spend too much money since no car uses those sizes anymore... and its not worth it to do a custom install and get rid of the back speakers all together...

Hmm was it them being over-power, crossed over at the wrong freq, or improperly set gains? I am goin to guess the later 2. Most speakers can take 2 times the nominal power if it is clean and crossed over properly. Plus 5x7s ****, cut some baffles and get a set of round coaxs.
