You don't know what you are doing if you blew them
a pair would normally laugh at 1000 rms.... What is your gain set at?

I don't know what I'm doing? That might be possible, but I doubt it's the case this time. I actually think one of them might have been a little weak. One of the subs blew, and both VC's were toast in it. The other didn't even get a little smelly.

Gain was set below clipping and bottoming out the sub.

It happens sometimes. You can get a faulty one. But usually, they're tough enough to take 500 watts.

So you gonna do a build log when building the new box?

Glad to know they normally stand up to 500 without any problems.

I posted up a log in the build logs forum, but was only a pic of my current setup. When I build another box for it, I'll post up more pics in that thread.

Might be a few weeks before I get started on another box though.
