his amp is also shutting off when at high volumes which is the same thing mine is doing, only times it shuts off is at high vol

You sure you're getting proper voltage AT the amp? Check with a DMM...

Also, do you have an alternator? Where are your grounds?

200amp alt Big 3 grounded to the fender and a bolt on the engine. And in the back it is bolted to the frame.

If Memphis will even touch it, you will probably just get another circuit board for a small fee. Also I wish you lots of luck with Memphis. I could not get anyone from there to return my phone calls or email. As a result, I got a refund through UPS and I will not purchase another Memphis product due to their lack of support unless you purchased it through one of their authorized dealers...

That is retarded. So lets say a guy buys from a dealer. Decides to get another Memphis product. What is he supposed to do? Throw it away? Give it back to Memphis? Hes not allowed to sell to a friend, give it to his grand mother? Donate it to good will? I can't support a company that dont stand buy their products under all circumstances.

On a better note. I wend out and played some tones 38-50hz at full blast and it did not cut out till after 5mins of playing. Also people are saying these amps will smoke if the voltage is to low? I don't see how people are saying it may be my voltage being low causing it to cut out. If it would cut out from low voltage then how do people smoke them as apposed to them just cutting out?

any way you look at this problem its not a malfunction of your wiring. best bet is sending it into DB-R and seeing what he finds out for free. and u can go from there.

No tickie, no help! You "might" be able to get it repaired through your local Memphis dealer. Make up some BS story of how your wife/girlfriend/brother/cousin/etc. gave it to you as a gift and it stopped working.

you WILL NOT be able to get it repaired through a dealer. DB-R is your best bet for that amplifier he has repaired a few of them for competitors.
