i just traded for 1 and i know they are 1 ohm stable, how bout .5,just curious
obviously, a good electrical for this amp is a MUSTWerd.
I've seen people run the ZX2500.1 off a stock alternator before... with Big3 and battery upgrades. It's a really efficient amp, IMO one of the most efficent amps out considering it's power output.
It's one of my favorite amps I've had, I mean, my memphis 4kw has more power... but it is obscene how much current the memphis draws.
Just an example, I did the switch from the 2500.1 to the memphis.
At first, when I burped... the Kicker actually gave me a higher dB reading on the TL than the memphis, when I added a THIRD battery (1 front, 2 back) my TL score went up with the memphis.
So that kind of shows you, that the "2500watt" amp was louder than the "4000watt" amp b/c of the smaller current demand on a burp...
If you're interested, Jason (undercoverpunk) has one for sale that is in excellent condition.
If you need anything else, just ask. My recommendation would be a pair of Fi Q15's and the ZX2500.1 @2ohms (Jason had a pair of Q18's sealed on his amp, and it was great!).

i hope noah doesnt get pissed off that im posting PM conversations between me and him, but here is what he told me about the memphis 4k.

how much did you gain on the TL over the 2500.1 after all the upgrades?INDeed.
My final electrical with the memphis 4kw consisted of:
Under hood:
Optima Yellow Top, 220amp Mean-Green Alternator, dual 1/0 big three, triple frame grounds, triple + 1/0 to the rear.
In the rear:
Three Optima D31 Yellow Tops, Triple 1/0 frame grounds, Triple + 1/0 inputs from front.
I like overkill... my voltage barely ever dropped below 13v...

i have heard that before. i guess they expect you to know that you need a solid electrical to support a 4kw amp, but its obvious (at least on this forum), that some people dont know what kind of an amp it is. they say "is a stock alt and a 500cca battery ok to run this amp?", and some people say "ya, it'll work" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif *magic smoke*No undervoltage protection FTL
still a nice gain for competition purposes i would say. thanks for updating me on that though, since i was thinking about purchasing a memphis 4k (for the btl i had), but now i see for daily purposes, it would of been pretty pointless.Like... 1dB
