well it peaks louder than the daily box...but indeed its too small..... back to the drawing board...
everyone get off his back, he has no window in his vehicle and he told me he wanted an SPL box, so i designed him a box that did a 147 on the dash....trust me smaller boxes ARE LOUDER, BIGGER BOXES ****....Have you tried pointing the sub back and port up?
I've had good results with with that...
the box gets loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif if ihad more power on it itd get alot louder. and its true SPL box's work better smaller, especcially if you can put some juice on the woofer. unfortunitly i dont have as much juice as i need so i think im gonna go a little bigger (not much, maybe to like 4 or 4.5 cubs and do snoopdans horn design. im sure if i had double the power id be spankin some nice scores. but my resources are limitedeveryone get off his back, he has no window in his vehicle and he told me he wanted an SPL box, so i designed him a box that did a 147 on the dash....trust me smaller boxes ARE LOUDER, BIGGER BOXES ****....
have a nice day and build something louder than me then you can tell me different
ill give it a shot next time i go to play around with it, its in storage right nowHave you tried pointing the sub back and port up?

Sure man, no problem. It was just a suggestion...I'm not sure why the other guy flew off the cuff like that....ill give it a shot next time i go to play around with it, its in storage right now
its not just you man, its just on every forum here lately everyone is second guessing designs i do for people.....
sub back and port up doesn't really do anything, either all back or sub up port back is the way to go....
And 2500 watts IS alot of power, no matter what no one tells you they're not running much more than that per woofer for long periods of time without woofer failure, if they say they are they have a stupid high impedence rise and they should test it....I havn't seen a woofer that can take more than 3k for over 5 minutes without reaching thermal limitations.
Sorry for flying off again, it just seems like everytime I design a box for someone, someone else comes in and starts saying its too small or its this or this...when they don't do anything close to that numbers wise, just know what they've been told or read and havn't ever tested it.
Again thats not really direct at you Sku, just more at some others in general =)
