Aero ports with PVC for least noise?

My vented box I built will not fit in my trunk. Im thinkin about cutting it down to 4.5 cubes and using internal aero ports. I would like to use PVC to save a big of money, which size ports should I use so it doesnt create a lot of port noise? I know about the calculator at psp-inc.com but I just dont know what diameter and how many I should go with for the least noise.

I want 4.5 cubes at 30hz btw.

And how do you mount PVC in a box without it rattling out? I realize there is basically no way to make it smooth with the box so it doesnt stick out, but it seems like it will still rattle its way out.

u should check partsexpress and look at their prices for ports...........they are rpetty reasonable compared to pvc........I with pvc you still may end up with port noise since they arent rounded at the end unless you make em, which is kinda a pain and expensive to buy what you need to make them with. anyhow check partsexpress and see.

to secure pvc to the box i usually glue them and then shoot a screw in them at the top. you can also deaden the outside of the pipe to help with port noise

Its not the actual price that bothers me, its having to pay so much for shipping.

So should I go with 4" ports?

Your probably going to need 4 4" Aeros or 2 6" Aeros...

if I do 2 6" aeros it says they need to be 38" long, my box isnt even that long
