Mechman alt vs. others

@massivespl
We have been doing alternators for a year now, our expert has been building custom units for 21 years now, that is the only warranty claim we have ever had, and it was due to purely admitted abuse. 6 dead batteries. never owned a battery charger and running 8,000 watts + it actually lasted 6 months That case and exact build has been approved for Ultra 4 Offroad racing ect. We have about 80 large case GM's of that exact build in vehicles and no one has had issues. Melted rectifiers also are not covered by any alternator makers warranty because it takes pure abuse to melt a rectifier and we warranted his.

Send me a pm for a 1990 ford bronco 5.0. Already did the the 2g to 3G swap so. Would need that in a 3G case. Thanks

I can only speak for Singer. Very happy with the alternator and the customer service I received from Mike and Jim. Would highly recommend spending the extra money. These dudes will be there when you need them willing to help.

There is a ford case thats for ford focus' fusion's and taurus', our unit does 400 amps, it has a hand wound stator and fully custom made parts, its the only way we build that case. Adulbrich wanted the largest alternator possible knowing a fully custom and more difficult bracket would need to be fabbed for the addition.

And massiveSPL on the GM large cases we do a 350 amp 6 phase hairpin, and is what I would have suggested to you as the largest for your vehicle if you inquired, because one of the fully custom made ford cases is a more difficult bracket job.

And we do not inflate or lie about our amperage ratings, most all units bench hot 10%-15% higher than what the customer paid for. We had a guy we built a 220 amp VW alt for, he went and benched it to be sure it made power before putting it on his vehicle and it did 274 amps for example. and that was a hand wound stator unit as well.
Before I order it, I'm going to see what voltage drop is with the M4a and make sure I have enough room.

Then I'll contact you again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Lol I JUST now got an email for EA. I sent them an email in Jan asking if they had an alternator for my car 270+ amps. The email back today said "Sorry for the delay, we were having problems with emails. Let me know if you still need help. Thanks!" Still didn't answer my question months later.. Oh well. Happy with my DC.

He really was having email problems lol. But that email u got was sent to everyone on his email list because I got the same email but I ordered 4 alts through excessive amperage in the past few months. Good alts for sure .

Oh okay. Yea I was still curious as to their pricing for my setup. Buddy runs an EA 350 on his s10 on 20k and likes it.

I will most likely be needing more alternator power coming up and really didn't want to spend $900 on the DC 370. Ill email EA and see if they do anything close to a 370 for me.

As far as alts I have a used mechman in the works right now. I should clear payment tonight or in the morning. $250 is a good price for me. I'm not sure what specs you guys look for but it has a voltage regulator I'll post a pic

It already is setup like the 3G so it's plug and play for me. The price is not bad knowing this unit cost about $450 due to the regulator...I'll go take it to autozone to see if their tester works or the alt works lol

So payment is sent. Will let you guys know how that goes. Maybe I'll take a vid of me picking it up from my apartment office lol...but I will take it over to autzone to see if they can test since I'm not ready to install yet...have to buy more wire...more importantly I have to get an alarm
