I have been reading the rules and i cant decide if i am amateur street or street and which class in these to i am Any Help ??

Sorry again if this is stupid questions just dont wanna go out there and look like a total noob

I think i wanna go amateur because this is my first show and everything but reading some of the rules i dont know if i can. My sub is resting on the backseat. because they are folded down and i am making it a 2 seater. I have 2 batteries and i must have the car running to pump the stereo. I will have to hold the rev at atleast 1500 to 2000 to keep the bateries from dropping So does this mean i cant be in the amateur division because i really dont wanna get smoked in a higher division lol I mean i not a real competitor but i would like to be some time soon. Am i just worrying to much ? and what kinda scores do you guys think i will put up ?

maybe just go early and ask questions there. see if you want to actually run or not yet. look at other MECA setups and see if there's something you can do to improve before you run.

At every USACi show I've been to there's some local kid who comes up with a subox sitting in his back seat of his 4-door and wonders why he's in MOD 0-1000 with all the vans.

I will have to do this lol But could you tell me what MOD 0-1000 stands for isee this in the rules i have been reading and dont know what it stands for

not MECA related:

USACi class. MOD means modified class. 0-1000 is the 4 ohm power rating for the amp. USACi watts-based except for StreetBeat.

poor kids go up against walled-off 16v vans because they don't know what they're doing.

That would put you in MOD class. To be in a AS class, you have to keep all of your equipment in the cargo aera and the engine must be off.

You have one 15" sub, so you can do a 1 class with 35 amps of fusing, a 2 class with 80 amps of fusing, a 3 class with 180 amps of fusing, a 4 class with 380 amps of fusing and a 5 class with no fusing.

Oh ok i will have to go and ask before i enter i know i will get my *** kicked if i do something like that I not trying to destory everyone in my class but i dont wanna be in a class thats way aboove me either lol I really dont care if i win cash i just wanna see my numbers and have fun

Ok how do i rate my fusing i have 3 fuse between my power source and my amp. With a 250a fuse in the amp. What kinda cars run in the MOD class do i have a shot ??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

The fuse MECA uses to classify you must be located within 18" of the subwoofer amp. Are you going to Mike Bartells show on Sunday or the one in Roanoke on Saturday? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

FYI they won't let you manually rev your engine no matter what class you are in. you'll have to increase your idle (if you know how). Also you can most likely use a smaller fuse with your setup, maybe a 100A fuse. it may sound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif right now, but trust me on this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. this will put you in a lower class so you can be more competitive
