Mean Green Alternator Defective?

Hello I got my mean green alternator the other day and took it to advance auto parts to test it. They said it was a bad alternator and wouldnt get enough voltage. I then went to autozone where it passed all three tests and they said it was just fine. I then went to another auto zone and they said it failed that test too. Is there any other explanation or is the thing just broken or what? I dont want to have it installed and it be broken. Thanks

Why did you take it to get tested? Did you notice a problem with it?

honestly if 1 place told you its good, and 2 others told you its bad...i wouldnt trust either. period.

install the alternator and see how it performs. you have a 1 year warranty... what are you worrying about?

well he said somehting about "having it installed"

the motor city alt is still running strong... i still havent gotten around to doing some voltage testing... im in the process of moving and stuff so hopefully ill have free time soon

You'll know in a few minutes if it's working OK or not.

If your friend's dad has to take it back off just buy him an extra 6-pack for the labor!
