yeah 4 Memphis 4KDs were used and about 7 Kinetik 2400's....not a real practical daily driven system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif You know what happens to Memphis when voltages dips...Majic Smoke //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I think one or two of the 4 HD3 12's were damaged so I'm sure the signal was clipped to hell also to reach that number .....
yea jereiah did drive his explorer daily but i know he wrote that it it sounded like crap...ill have only one amp for now amps are not cheap and i will be buying one more z1a so that each pair will have there own z1a now that should get me up there pass 153
Jeremiah does drive his Explorer...he doesn't with that system...I'm pretty sure he sold all 4 amps after finals last year.....Kasey is wanting a daily system...not something that will be yanked out show to show.....my CRX is driven also...and I do like Jeremiah mine is usually yanked show to show also...I'm not saying Jeremiahs is a bad setup or anything all I'm saying is its not a very practical daily system in fact it couldn't be run daily hard.......
After I get my new exhaust parts for the CRX it is being rebuilt as a daily driven system...so I should be finally making the car look nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif....I may enter an SPL show or two...with the final system...but I'm probally switching to other hobbies.....

I ran 2 NSB90's, 1 hawker 1700, 1 stinger 1700 that I borrowed from someone at finals, and 1 NSB 12-270 that I borrowed from someone at finals. I ran that setup daily with the 2 NSB 90's until I sold the amps. Never had any problems.

I posted that I thought I might have hurt one of the subs, but after I took them apart with my nifty quick change motor plates, I discovered that all 4 subs were perfect. They still play fine to this day.

That setup sounds really good now that I finished the box, and fixed the port. It got considerably louder as well. I had some port issues at finals causing alot of turbulance (chopping the port with a sawzall the night before finals only to discover I lost 1.7 db at the dash). It did sound like crap after I pulled that stunt. Wasn't too hard to fix though.

As stated before, I daily drove that setup for a couple months, until my wife made me sell the amps to pay off the credit card. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/violent.gif.ccf64f7a34b20886d220db2fbff36f3b.gif It definately wasn't because I wanted to sell them, or didn't feel it was practical. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Also, I could play that setup all day long at around a 153 on the dash. If I pushed it past that point my electrical wouldn't keep up. That was loud enough to suit me though. That setup was very efficient. It had wicked impedance rise. With the amps running at 1 ohm, which is how I ran them for my SB3 157.1 score at finals, the amps saw about 6 ohms after impedance rise and barlely put out 800 watts apiece. Numerous people didn't believe me until I showed them. I really considered running it with the amps strapped at 0.5, which uped the power to around 2500 watts per amp, but I was affraid I didn't have enough battery power. I know on a legal dash burp that setup gained around 2.1 dB from running the amps at 1 ohm, to having them strapped at 0.5. If everything would have been pushed to the limits, and everything worked correctly, I believe that setup was capable of getting close to a 160 for an SB run.
