mdf smell

Oh, and there's nothing toxic about the smell of MDF. The only danger comes from inhaling MDF dust, more specifically the glue in it.
Man i got a couple lungs full of mdf dust on my last box.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

the only thing that smelled when i built my box was the resin i put on the in side of it .i fixed that though i smoked a couple blunts in the car and after that all you could realy smell was the sweet smell of the gonga.

I have my box in the back of my ex bolted down to a sheet of 1/2" mdf that takes up the entire truck so it doesn't fly around. The thing is it kind of smells and i'm concerned that it's toxic.... is there a different type of wood I can use instead that wont smell and is maybe safer to breath?
Stfu n00b.

You should get one of those cheap-o breathing masks. They're only like $.89 cents or something.

well maybe ill try some birch ply...maybe it would be good to carpet the inside or something to add to the resonance? on top of poly fill...

seems like it would work...

or resin the inside?

Next time wipe the box down thoroughly with a damp rag, inside and out. It helps a lot with the smell. Also, when you get in, roll down the windows for 5 seconds, then roll them back up.
