18" Solo X SPL Tuning?(pic of box)

Hey Everyone, we just finished this box last week for my friend now want to make a spl type port for it. It is a 18" solo x , powered by a kx2500.1 . Its in a lexus rx300 suv.

The box is right around 10 cubes after port/sub right now with the daily port(yeah i know not the best daily sub) it is tuned to 31hz and hits deep as it is , but want the higher tuning for the meter.

The other daily sub is a 18"mt and with both subs in the daily boxes , the solo x his 150.8 at 35hz, and the mt 150.1 at 45hz. So already happy with the new set up.

I don't know the resonant frequency of the car or anything, but what would be a good starting point for spl tuning? I was thinking 50-55hz , but not sure. The port is going to be 170-180 sq. in. same box(removable port) so with the larger port area it will probably be around 9-9.5 cf. after port. I would appreciate any help or advice you could give me . Here is a crappy cell phone pic of the box right after we put it in.

50-55 is pretty high especially for a start, remember the box'll peak at least a few hz ABOVE the tuning frequency, you could always start at like 40hz, and keep cutting a little more length off the port until you stop gaining or reach a plateau in gains

yeah i think i may do that , If i could get the meter for a day . i could make two ports that are tuned around 40hz and keep cutting the one back until it reaches the maximum and then goes down . Then i can cut the second port to the loudest measurement. Sucks how time consuming this will be though to keep unbolting and bolting the port in , may have to get an impact wrench and do it nascar style lol
